Presentation

Team Comm is a menu which allows you to view the status of your riders, interact with them and give them instructions.

ps4_L : Navigating. Left and right allow you to navigate from one group to the next, while up and down allow you to navigate from one rider to the next.
ps4_cross : Selection. This allows you to select an instruction.
ps4_square : Multi-selection. This allows you to select multiple players at the same time. Two fast presses allow you to select all the riders in the group.
ps4_triangle : Changing rider. This allows you to take control of the selected rider.
ps4_right : Race info. Pressing repeatedly allows you to view the rankings of the various riders.

Your team members have a certain amount of autonomy after you’ve given them an order. For example, if you tell a team member to attack, they will stop their attack once they think they are far enough ahead. Or, if you instruct someone to attack while another team member is relaying, that team member will automatically fall back to let you pass. If you do not like this behaviour and would prefer to have total control over your team members, it is possible to deactivate their autonomy by adjusting Instruction Length under the Options menu.

Fast-forward

From the Team Comm menu, you can fast-forward a race to reach an important part more quickly. Once Fast-Forward has been activated, your rider will automatically be controlled by the game.

Group instructions

When you select a group in the Team Comm menu, you can give a group instruction to the riders in that group. The riders will organise themselves to follow the instruction that you have selected and will adapt their effort based on the stage of the race.

Individual instructions

Giving an instruction to a teammate can change their behaviour. However, be wary that, if they are badly placed or do not have any energy, it will take longer to perform the action, or they may simply not be able to do it at all.

Roles

Roles are automatically assigned at the start, but they can be altered in the rider selection menu. Team Comm allows you to alter these roles at any moment in order to impact on the behaviour of your riders when they are under the effect of a collective instructions or when they do not have an individual instruction.
